Max Scherzer (15 days, strained right teres, eligible to return on September 13): Rangers general manager Chris Young stated that Scherzer will not return during the regular season and is “unlikely” to do so if the team advances to the playoffs.
A damaged UCL ligament has forced P Jacob deGrom (60-Day, right elbow inflammation) to miss the remainder of the 2023 campaign. June 12 was his operation date.
Ian Kennedy (Sept. 16, 60-Day, right rotator cuff strain): Kennedy had his 2023 season ended when the Rangers placed him on the 60-day injured list.
LHP Brett Martin (60-Day): Martin underwent surgery on January 18 and is anticipated to miss the majority of the 2023 campaign.
INF Brad Miller (60-Day, hamstring tightness): In order to provide space for Evan Carter on the 40-man roster, Miller was moved off the 10-day injured list (Aug. 2) to the 60-day disabled list. Miller is unable to play this season.
