Giannis Antetokounmpo, a great player for the Milwaukee Bucks, has made it obvious that he may not re-sign with the team long-term, leading to widespread speculation regarding a deal involving him.
Milwaukee may offer Giannis Antetokounmpo the richest contract in NBA history this coming summer, with a five-year deal worth up to $334 million. The former NBA MVP seems singularly focused on winning another title, though.
“As long as we play and we approach the game every single day the right way, and we all sacrifice for the common goal, I could see myself being a Milwaukee Buck for the rest of my career,” Giannis said on the 48 Minutes podcast.
But as soon as I get the impression that other individuals aren’t as dedicated as I am to closing the deal, I stop caring.
“I’m not only a member of the Milwaukee Bucks, but also a champion. I have to seize a better opportunity to win the Larry O’Brien if one presents itself.
ESPN has reported that five teams have emerged as possible destinations for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Among these clubs are the New York Knicks, New Orleans Pelicans, Brooklyn Nets, Toronto Raptors, and Golden State Warriors.
The Bucks star has also been connected to a few other, less prominent candidates.
Antetokounmpo is an exceptional player, so any of these teams could interest him. However, some seem like better fits than others. The Warriors and Raptors, in particular, stand out as appealing choices.
