According to Vinny Pasquantino, first baseman for the Kansas City Royals, the pressure to secure the 2023 World Series title appears to weigh more heavily on the Los Angeles Dodgers than on the Atlanta Braves.
Pasquantino shared his perspective on the potential Dodgers-Braves showdown in the 2023 NLCS during an interview with Chris Rose Sports.
Pasquantino underscored that the Braves boast a relatively youthful roster. Atlanta’s core lineup features talented players like Ronald Acuna, Jr., Matt Olson, Austin Riley, Marcell Ozuna, Max Fried, Spencer Strider, and Ozzie Albies.
Notably, Ozuna, the designated hitter for the Braves, is the sole member of this group aged over 30.
In contrast, the Dodgers’ core ensemble comprises seasoned players such as Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, Clayton Kershaw, Will Smith, Chris Taylor, Max Muncy, and Walker Buehler.
Kershaw and Freeman, the elder statesmen of the group, are 35 and 34 years old, respectively, with Taylor following closely at 33 years of age.
