The health of Yency Almonte, Michael Grove, Daniel Hudson, and Blake Treinen, among others, will play a role in the pitching staff of the Los Angeles Dodgers during the postseason.
Almonte and Grove are the two right-handers that seem the most likely to return this year, out of the four.
After suffering a damaged MCL in his right knee in early July, Hudson is still recovering. The veteran pitcher faced a lengthy recovery, but Dodgers manager Dave Roberts indicated at the time that the team would hold out hope that Hudson will pitch again in 2023.

Almonte also suffered a right knee MCL sprain. Almonte and the Dodgers had hoped for a quick recovery at first, but he has been sidelined since August 12 and just last week completed his first bullpen session following the injury.
For the regular season, Roberts added, “It’s a longer shot.” Considering the postseason, it’s possible, but there is still a lot of baseball to be played.

Update on Michael Grove
Grove was initially expected to make a comeback during the San Diego Padres series last week before being placed on the 15-day injury list on August 6.
Alhough it was ultimately postponed, the 26-year-old is getting closer to being activated.
Michael is doing nicely. I believe it will be Wednesday this week when he performs an up-down, according to Roberts. And Michael will be coming back with us on Saturday or Sunday, according to the plan.
Grove would then have one week to conceivably secure a spot in the Dodgers’ postseason bullpen.
