The Rangers Injury Report

3B Josh Jung (10-Day, left thumb fracture, eligible to return), who is making outstanding progress, may be ready to play on the road trip, according to Rangers manager Bruce Bochy.

OF Adolis Garca (10 days, right patellar tendon strain, September 8; eligible to return September 18): The Rangers are optimistic that Garca will be able to play again as soon as he is cleared.

Sborz (15-Day suspension, left hamstring injury, Sept. 5; able to play again Sept. 20): To make way for Eovaldi, the Rangers put Sborz on the disabled list.

INF Brad Miller (60-Day, Hamstring Tightness): To make room for Evan Carter on the 40-man roster, Miller was transferred off the 10-day injured list (as of August 2) to the 60-day disabled list. Miller cannot make a comeback this year.

P Jacob deGrom (60-Day, Right Elbow Inflammation): DeGrom was diagnosed with a damaged UCL ligament and will miss the remainder of the 2023 season. His procedure was on June 12.

Brett Martin, a left-handed pitcher, underwent shoulder surgery on January 18 and will likely miss the majority of the 2023 campaign.

Jake Odorizzi, a right-handed pitcher, will miss the whole 2023 season after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his shoulder (60-Day, right arm fatigue).
